Last Friday we met at Hock Eng's place for a Karoake singalong. I must say there are hidden singing talents in our group, I am sure there are more yet to be discovered. Ronnie Choo really can belt out a mean Righteous Brothers You've lost that loving feeling, mean enough to outstage Tom Cruise, hitting those high notes. David Loke's laid back singing style a la Lobo, Me, you and a dog named Boo, How can I tell you about Her, simply fantastic. I especially loved him singing Ferry Cross the Mersey by Gary and the Pacemakers? It brought back such nice memories of those carefree schooldays when we were just crazy over pop songs and trying to look like and sound like rock and roll stars. Tai Soon and Hock Eng are no push overs either, these two guys are regular Karoake fanatics. Hock Eng has that fantastic karoake hardware setup with a really marvellous LD collection of oldies. You guys should really try and have a go at it some day. And Tai Soon had to leave us early to, can you belive it, attend another Karoake session. I bet this one runs into the 2,3 am. Anyway we had a really enjoyable evening, Thank You Hock Eng and wife Massie for their hospitality.
